St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday that originated in Ireland in early Spring. In fact, it’s celebrated on the 17th this year, in just a couple of days! Anyone who has ever heard of St. Patrick knows that the common symbol for the holiday is a green shamrock, or a four-leaf clover, known for being lucky. That shamrock must have brought you extra luck this year because we are about to unveil one of our favorite color trends this year, and it just happens to correspond with St. Patrick’s Day…it’s green! One of our favorite emerald dresses is La Femme style 25857. It is a stunning ball gown with skinny straps and a deep sweetheart neckline. A beaded lace bodice gives the dress beautiful texture! The tulle bottom has cascading layers that add to the uniqueness of this ball gown. While emerald may not be a typical choice, this dress is gorgeous and sure to pop in a crowd! Another one of our favorite greens is a completely sequined dress from Alyce Paris. Style 60035A is a forest green hue that shimmers in the sunlight! It is a strapless sweetheart neckline with a mermaid fit. This gown takes more of a classic approach, but still stands out because of the deep green color. If you’re still not entirely sold on the idea of an green gown, Sherri Hill style 52073 is the look for you! This dress is entirely sequined and we are obsessed! It has a deep v-cut neckline and a halter strap. The fabulous lines that the sequins create make this such a captivating gown. This number is a perfect choice if you’re looking for something flirty and fierce. Green is a color that is often looked over in the dash for a dress, but this year we have seen greens in a whole new light! There are dozens of shades, all the way from sea foam to emerald, so you’re sure to find the perfect hue for you.
