There is a chill in the air, football season is in full swing, and pumpkin spice lattes are officially back. You know what that means - homecoming is just around the corner! We all love the excitement of homecoming; the football, the cute short dresses, and the change of seasons. Fall is the perfect time to change your makeup routine, so why not debut a whole new look for homecoming?!
One of our favorite transitional makeup looks is a dark lip. Autumn fashion colors are typically darker, think burgundy and olive, so you can darken your makeup colors a bit too! The key to a gorgeous dark lip is a good liner; since the color is so deep, it will be very easy to see any smears. When choosing a lippie, take your skin tone into account. Darker complections tend to work best with darker red. Lighter skin is complemented by jewel tones, so don’t be afraid to try a deep purple tone!
If you aren’t loving the dark lipstick look, this is a great time to test out some new eyeshadow colors. Remember the burgundy we mentioned earlier? It just happens to be one of this season’s hottest eyeshadow trends! Try mixing burgundy and light nudes for a fall-approved smoky eye!
