It’s one of our favorite weeks of the year: New York Fashion Week! NYFW is filled with the newest, hottest trends and so much inspiration. We almost wish it could be every weekend! Just hours ago in New York, we were introduced to Sherri Hill’s Spring 2018 collection and all we can say is WOW!! Sherri is the queen of prom for a reason!
After watching the show, one thing was obvious, sparkle is in! Sherri continued the famed intricate beading with paisley mini dresses perfect for homecoming, as well as full length glittering gowns. One of our favorites was a teal spaghetti strap gown with a plunging V-neck worn by newcomer, Sailor Brinkley Cook. Sailor is the daughter of esteemed supermodel Christie Brinkley, and this was her first time walking for Sherri. The gown she wore is covered in silver and dark teal beading that contrasts the lighter teal color of the gown beautifully. We’re calling it now, this will be one of the bestsellers from the new line!
Sherri introduced more than new models to the line, she brought back a blast from the past completely redesigned: CHEETAH PRINT! None of us saw it coming, but we are in love. The print comes in a huge variety of styles ranging from beaded print tops with chiffon skirts to velvet tops with leopard beaded skirts, and even a satin leopard jumpsuit. It’s looking like cheetah will become a huge trend in the near future!
Again, Sherri is the queen of prom for a reason. Her designs are bold and beautiful and unlike anything we have seen before. The originality of the Sherri Hill brand keeps us on our toes and excited for more. We can’t wait to get our hands on some of these new designs!
