The Tony Awards recognize excellence in the world of Broadway. It is always a glamorous event, and we never fail to see amazing trends emerge during the red carpet appearances. This year it seems that silver was the color of the night!! Silver gowns and accents were all over the red carpet, and we aren’t complaining about it! These ladies stole the show in shimmering silver gowns! Kerry Washington wowed us in a jumpsuit that Olivia Pope would be proud of. The metallic look was covered in geometric silver beadwork, and the long sleeves perfectly complimented the plunging neckline and open sides. The fitted pants were flanked by a sheer silver train that added a feminine and dressy feel to the entire look. Kerry’s silver heels and dainty jewelry were the perfect addition to this monochromatic look! Jamie Parker, also known as the Harry Potter of Broadway, paired a black tuxedo with his wife, Deborah Crowe’s, silver gown. Deborah shined in a fully beaded mermaid style gown. The deep V neckline had two straps emerging on either side, which is so edgy and on trend! The silver beading created both vertical and horizontal stripes on the gown, which proved to be very flattering. She paired this look with a silver clutch, small earrings, and a silver watch for another fully monochromatic appearance! Renowned comedian Tina Fey is not to be forgotten! She showed up in, arguably, the classiest look of the night. Fey chose a short sleeved, form fitting gown that sparkled from every angle. Almost unnoticeable due to the detailing, the lapels and buttons added depth to the glittery gown. At the bottom of the dress, the detailing changed to a chevron print with different tones, and feathers hung to the floor. This dress had a lot going on, but if anyone could pull it off, it was Tina!
