The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards took place this past Sunday in Los Angeles, California. The night was full of epic red carpet entrances, star-studded performances, and lots of big awards given. The ceremony was hosted by Alicia Keys, and she began the show with a performance with Boyz II Men, giving a touching tribute to NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant and his family. The entire evening was overflowing with emotion while the stars performed and presented in Staples Center, “the house that Kobe Bryant built” as Alicia Keys put it. The 2020 Grammy Awards was the site of breathtaking performances, record-breaking wins, and much more.
Ariana Grande graced the Red Carpet in a fabulous layered tulle ball gown. Ari rocked her signature high pony so the dress could be seen fully. It was strapless with lots of layers of tulle for a truly epic grand entrance. She also rocked some silver silk gloves that covered her arm and passed her elbows to complete the look.
Demi Lavato took the stage at the Grammys for her first live performance in two years. She debuted her new song, ‘Anyone’ and was overcome with emotion and had to pause during her very moving performance. She wore a stunning long sleeve, white gown while she sang her heart out on the Grammy stage. Her emotion-filled ballad touched the hearts of everyone watching, and even caught public praise from several stars including: Selena Gomez, Sam Smith, and P!NK. It was truly a breathtaking performance!
One of the biggest headlines to come out of the 62nd Grammy Awards was the fact that Billie Eilish became the first woman to sweep the top four categories in one night. She took home Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. She also set many records that were age-related. At just 18 years old, she is the youngest artist to win album of the year.
