New York Fashion Week came to a close a few days ago, but taken back by all of the fabulous fashion!! Every year, the best of the best designers take their new collections to the runway. This year, we were all left swooning at the new trends coming up in seasons to come. NYFW featured shows from top designers like Marc Jacobs, Brandon Maxwell, Badgley Mischka, Rebecca Minkoff and SO many more! So, let’s talk about the trends from fashion week that will be taking over soon!
First up, colors!! Pastels were huge in the Marc Jacobs show, lots of pretty pinks and purples graced the runway. Pastels are always a big deal when it comes to the spring season, but we saw tons of pastels this year. Another hot trend was neon. All neon everything! Bright greens, yellows, pinks and oranges took the runway by storm and really added a vibrant touch to each lineup. We have already been seeing our favorite celebs rocking the neon outfits - we cannot wait to see what is to come with this bright and bold trend!
We also saw lots of patterns, in many color palettes and a plethora of patterns. Florals, polka dots, fruits, and more; these patterned looks are anything but ordinary! There were captivating patterned pieces in most every runway show. These patterns add some flare and definitely shake up the show. Florals and polka dots were plentiful throughout the week and we are so here for it. Bring on all of the patterns please!
Belts have been on the rise the past few seasons, and this year’s NYFW shows embraced this trend in full force. Trendy, unique belts are the perfect accessory to add to take a look from drab to fab. A belt can really set any look over the edge, making a fashion statement. Designer Brandon Maxwell showcased several looks that featured a belt to tie the look together. These were just a few trends we noticed while watching the trends via insta - we cannot wait to see these trends take over!
