If you’re really needing a quick fix, you may want to try whitening strips. You can find several brands at Target, but we really like Crest. Start by brushing your teeth, then apply the strips for the amount of time listed on the box and brush again after removing them. You shouldn’t use the strips more than once a week because they may make your teeth sensitive, but you should see a whiter smile after your first use!
Whiten Your Teeth at Home
It seems like every other post on social media is an ad trying to sell you the newest teeth whitening products to give you the brightest smile! It’s something we all want - bright, white teeth. But, we don’t want to spend a crazy amount to get them white, right?? There are tons of at home remedies that promise to whiten your teeth without the hefty price tag, but do they actually work? We did the research for you and found some of the best (and cheapest) ways to whiten your teeth at home!
One of the oldest tricks in the book is to brush your teeth with baking soda. If you’ve ever felt baking soda, it has a powdery gritty texture. This texture becomes slightly abrasive (think exfoliating scrub) when you brush with it and can remove surface stains over time. Try mixing baking soda with water until you form a thick paste. Then just brush like normal! Rinse and brush again with your normal toothpaste after. Repeat this three or four times a week and you should start seeing results soon!
If you’re a big coffee drinker, this one's for you! Coffee and sodas are infamous for staining your teeth. So, if you’re wanting to whiten your smile, you may want to start by limiting your intake of these drinks! If you are totally dependent of your morning coffee like us, try going iced and drinking with a straw to limit contact with your teeth!
