As the new season sets in, spring break is happening for some, and approaching quickly for others. Summer break is also coming up and will be here faster than you think! With that said, now is the perfect time to start eating cleaner, you will feel so much better and you will be ready to hit the beach in no time! Healthy snacks are the perfect way to kick start some better food choices, so we found a few easy recipes to try out!
First up, let’s talk about breakfast aka the most important meal of the day! Breakfast foods really set the tone for the rest of the day, so it is important to start off strong. Avocado toast is a breakfast food that is as yummy as it is healthy. All you need is toast, a sliced avocado, and some seasoning if you’d like and what-la you have a yummy breakfast in no time! Another breakfast favorite of ours is fruit smoothies! Take your favorite fruits, a little bit of milk or almond milk, ice, and yogurt, blend it up and you are ready to head out the door with your breakfast!
As for snacks, protein muffins and protein bites are definitely some of our go-tos. Protein is so important to incorporate into your diet, and these are super delicious ways to get that protein in! So, protein bites are typically made from peanut butter, oats, honey, and sometimes some seeds like flax seeds - these are super easy to throw together! Protein muffins can be made into any flavor you prefer, and they actually incorporate oats as well.
There are soooo many different healthy snack and light meal recipes out there, so you are sure to find something that suits your taste buds! Eating healthy does not have to be hard or bland, just go with what you like and give it your best effort.
