Let’s be real - you probably do not use every little thing in your makeup bag on the regular. So, move those over to another bag and break them out on special occasions. Your makeup bag needs to have your everyday, casual makeup products like foundation, concealer, mascara, blush - you get the gist! But - what is your bag missing? Well, one thing that you definitely need to have is moisturizer. Moisturizing morning and night can transform your skin! Moisturizing before your makeup will help your foundation and powder to go on more smoothly and evenly.
Another must-have is a beauty blender. These are the sponges that are teardrop shaped and they are tiny miracle workers! If you wear concealer, CC cream, or any kind of liquid foundation - you need one, or 5 of these! Use the beauty blender sponge to dab your makeup onto your skin. In addition to your makeup and skin care, it is always a good idea to have dry shampoo on hand. Keeping a small, travel size bottle and a little comb or brush in your makeup bag will not hurt. The spray and comb will be your saving grace on those days that you need a quick touch up! While we’re talking about touch ups, it’s a good idea to toss in some cotton swabs and some makeup remover, or just some makeup remover wipes. Being prepared to touch up your face is never a bad idea!
