February is slowly coming to a close, which means March is on the way! What is March all about?! Multiple things could have came to mind just then, March Madness basketball, St. Patrick’s Day, but we are here to talk about spring break! Yay! Bring on no school and some sunshine! Springtime is just what the doctor ordered and we are so glad it is coming up! Now is the perfect time to get in shape for your upcoming plans for spring break! So, we rounded up a few healthy meals that look oh so yummy! First up, one of the best foods ever.. Tacos! But healthier! Taco lettuce wraps are the perfect balance between delicious and healthy, and they are so so easy to make. All you need is a head of lettuce, ground beef or chicken, cheese, and whatever else you like on your tacos. Brown the meat and season it with taco seasoning and peel off a few good pieces of lettuce to be your taco shell. Make your taco like normal and bon appetit! For something lighter, or maybe for a good breakfast or post-workout snack, make a smoothie! Smoothies are the perfect way to have a healthy snack and it will also get you feeling the spring vibes! One recipe we found that looked so good was called the Aloha pineapple smoothie. This smoothie can be made with just four ingredients: pineapple, strawberries, yogurt, and ice. Blend it all together and you are set! Typically it will make two smoothies, so have one now and later, or split it with a friend! This tropical smoothie will have you dreaming of vacation! Grab and go snacks can be essential for eating healthy! This recipe for banana oat energy bites is just what you need! Make some in advance, separate them into bags or containers and snack on them when you are on the go! All you need is bananas, oats, a nut butter, honey, chocolate chips and a little bit of cinnamon. Yum! Such a great snack food to have around when life gets too busy to stop and cook something!
